Cabo with the Knapp's!

MEXICO!

Playa Grande Resort! (stayed here)
As most of you know, Justin and I spent a week in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico. We went with Justins parents. They own a timeshare at the Playa Grande (where we stayed) so we went along for the trip! They spoiled us alot and I'm so thankful I was able to go along. Justin paid for my plane ticket as a birthday gift as well....pretty nice if you ask me! The week was amazing. We layed out every day, went deep sea fishing, went on a sunset cruise, ate at many restaraunts that had the best food i've had in a long time, tons of sea food, walk along the beaches, took tons of pictures as you can see....i think i ended up with 180 all together! We drank many margaritas by the poolside (authentic mexican margaritas), and went to many stores and clubs (The Giggling Marlin, Cabo Wabo)

While in Cabo I was so amazed with the rock formations and how high the tide came up every night. From our hotel room we could hear the ocean all night (we left our glass door open) which was one of my favorite things. I got very tan for just the 7 days we were there....it's got to be something about the Mexican sun! We saw baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean coming from their sandy nest! Humpback wales were birthing during this time so we saw many each day spouting water and breaking the waves. We also experienced sea lions snatching our bait while we deep sea fished one day...they swim down and steal the fish on the lure for a snack! Needless to say that made it hard to catch anything....we caught 3 fish all day (a marlin, a Dorado, and some silver fish) The restaurants would cook any fish you caught that day- we ate the Dorado! The trip was one of the most memorable ones I've had yet. A week in paradise. We're already talking about next year trips...Belize, or maybe Mazatlan!? I cannot wait to go back!!
During our trip I was many times mistaken for Justins sister/wife/fiance/and girlfriend all in one day. Being with justins parents made it maybe a little confusing...but it was also hilarious as I tried to figure out what I was supposed to be! I don't think the Mexican culture is as big on being someones girlfriend than being a wife or fiance. Many times shopping, the clerk's would try and get justin to buy something for "his wife"....kind of a trick everytime we went out..you never knew who I was going to be next! All in all, it was a GREAT time and it's sad now because my tan is fading :)

Happy (late) Holidays!

It's been quite some time since I've posted here! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I hope everyone's holidays were as much fun as mine was. I went home to Michigan for 3 whole weeks and did so much! Saw many friends, spent time with my family, shopped, went out to dinner ALOT, and baked many batches of christmas cookies! It was perfect....and I got to relax! This christmas my family was one person larger...we had Rob for our first official extended christmas! He joined us in the many festivities we have each year...grandmas house, eating alot, and wine tasting! It was alot of fun. I'm sure he can't wait until next christmas, haha.

As most of you know I brought Maisy home with me again this year. She was a trooper and flew with me for a big 10 hour day. What a cat! She wasn't too happy with me by the time we got home...being cooped up in that carrying cage for 10 hours is not fun (especially with no food or water!) Anyway, she loved being in a bigger house over christmas...she ruled the house! As you can see she had no trouble relaxing!

Fortunately I was able to spend time with my good friends back home. I went out to the bar with my friends on a couple occasions which is always a blast! I always look forward to coming home to see them. Unfortunately Justin was not home for the holidays this year. He spent christmas with his family in Idaho, and went down to Arizona to see his half-brother. It was really special for their family to see him. Everyone missed him though, including me!
Being home was great, it was a good amount of time to do anything I wanted and not worry about anything!

Almost there...

Well, the week is inching closer to being over! I'm very anxious to get done with school and fly back home to Michigan! This is the middle of "dead week" as they call it....aka finals. Today I had a presentation, and tomorrow I have a terrifying 3 finals in a row. I'm actually not sure how I will pull this off but it needs to be done. Thursday will be a bit easier...only one final, and getting started on my presentation for Friday afternoon. Wow....its really tough being a senior! If only I were graduating this semester.....
Well as you can see, Maisy is ready to fly! I got our her carry -on baggie 2 nights ago to allow her time to get used to it again. (after all she will be in that thing for about 10 hours!) She has warmed up to it pretty nicely, yet again. Yesterday she slept in it for a couple hours while I studied. I think she will be just fine on the plane. Shes well traveled and such a good girl when it comes to transporting her! I picked up the certificate of vaccinations from the Vet yesterday (and oops she was due for shots today...which I wasn't aware of! I'm a horrible mommy) But she isn't high maintenance when it comes to flying...I'll get people who want to know ALL about her in the airports, or ask, "whats in there?", and many other little kids who want to hold her.....sorry kids! Anyway, she will be just fine on Saturday when we leave. I'm just ready to go right now!!!
Throughout all the stress this week, I'm allowing myself plenty of sleep and making myself see the "light at the end of the tunnel". I know it's there, its just hard to believe it will still be there come Saturday. I'm easily discouraged I guess...and i need not be! I have 4 finals to go! On a side-note I hope you all received your Christmas cards Justin and I sent out last week! We love (well i do maybe a little more than he) doing them, and hope you all are having a good holiday so far. In 3 days I will be rejoicing...and maybe having a big glass of wine :)

It's December!

Happy December 1st everyone! I can't believe it's finally here. There are 24 more shopping days left...and I won't even begin until the 18th or 19th! Yikes, I have a ton to do. I've just finished another week of school...thank god! 2 more whole weeks left until I come home!! I hear the weather is getting snowy and blowy back in Michigan- thats what ive wanted to hear! I hope the snow sticks for another month :) Here in montana the temperature finally is above zero. Today it's about 24* and gray. I'm (of course) listening to christmas music and enjoying a Boca Burgr as I sit and type. This will be my only down-time all weekend. I have a 10 page paper awaiting me....not too thrilled about that. But the countdown has begun officially now that it is December! The above pictures are the poinsettia my mom got me while she was out visiting (it may need water!) and Maisy sleeping the day away in our room. She has a love for the space heater...she sits by it whenever it's on! Crazy Maisy. I hope you all have a great start to December and get out shopping! 24 more days left!

Thanksgiving Weekend

The Moms in all their laughing glory!

Justin & I mastering our pie!
This is my very first "graduated" blog! I've decided Livejournal is a little jouvenile for me now...im 23 and need a better way to let people know what i'm doing. Plus thos of you who are not livejournal subscrivers can see what i'm upto.
Thanksgiving weekend came and went so fast! Justin, my mom and i drove 7 hours to Moscow, Idaho for the holiday. My mom flew in last week, and we hit the road! It was such a memorable weekend. Justin's parents are just a riot. We always have so much fun together! As soon as we stepped in the door, 2 bottles of wine were opened and we looked at every one of Lindsey's wedding pictures (738!). We stayed up late, and drank....alot! Thanksgiving morning, Justin and I made an apple pie (see the picture!) Hes a pro at making crusts, and i do the filling. Then his mom and i made 2 pumpkin pies. They were delicious! The food was all amazing...we snagged a few recipes for our family! Friday us ladies went shopping all day- it was alot of fun. We scored some good deals too!
The weekend wound down and it came to an end all too fast. We drove 9 hours back....what was supposed to be 7. The passes in Butte were awful. Icy, and snopacked all the way home. Not to mention many car accidents along the way- thankfully we werent in any. My little saturn got us safely home with the thanks of justins good driving skills :) What a guy. Now it's back to reality. Time to face the nect 18 days left here before Christmas break. I have alot to do...and not much time/motivation to put into it! Im ready for this semester to end. Its time!
